Rodeo Personnel can compete in the timed events at the same rodeo in which they are working if they can be suitably replaced (via judges approval) with the exception of the CCA Finals.
If a contestant from the Top 10 CCA Finalists misses entry day they will be subject to a $500.00 fine.
Team Roping equal payout 2012-2014. CCA Board of Directors will recommend a 3 year goal of having equal added money added for the team roping event contestants. The first year have 1/3rd of the purse added, the second year have ½ of the purse added and the third year have the full amount of added equal prize money into the purse.

SECTION XIII Rule B 2
Amended to read:
All stock lists must be provided to the CCA Office by 1:00pm CST following the day of entries or a fine of $100.00 will be levied. This fine will double each time it is breeched.
SECTION XIII A Rule 9B
Amended to read:
The amount of $8.00 for families consisting of husband and wife or primary caregiver and contestant under the age of 18 as long as they reside in the same residence. Type of membership is not applicable. Contestant must notify RIDE Operator at time of entry.

Ladies & Junior Girls Barrel Racing

In the Ladies Barrel Racing and Junior Girls Barrel Racing events we will have a set rake draw at every CCA Rodeo. The set rake will occur after every 5 contestants on paper and not after 5 girls have actually ran; this rule will be circumstantial depending on weather and ground conditions at the judge’s discretion

Jr. Steer Riding
- Riding to be done with one (1) or two (2) hands and loose rope, with or without hand-hold; no knots or hitches to prevent rope from falling off steer when rider leaves it. Rope must have bell; no bell, no marking. Bell must be under belly of steer.
- If a contestant starts with one (1) hand they must finish with one (1). If they start with two (2) they may change to one (1), but then rides under the one (1) hand rule.
- It is mandatory for steer riders to wear a protective vest and a CSA-approved helmet and face mask while competing in the steer riding.
- No more than two (2) people may help pull a contestant’s rope. Rope may be pulled from either side.
- Steer will be ridden eight (8) seconds; time to start when animal’s inside front shoulder passes the plane of the chute. If rider makes qualified ride with any part of rope in riding hand, they are to be marked.
- Rider will be disqualified for any of the following offences: being bucked off; touching animal with free hand; using sharp spurs; or fouling animal by holding gate. Contestant touching the animal with head is a disqualification as well.
- If a qualified ride is made until the flank comes off, a re-ride shall be optional, but not need to be on the same animal.
- No bulls shall be used in the event. Suitable cattle must be steers, heifers or small cows. If suitable cattle are not available, the event will be cancelled. If a steer riding is held at an Association approved rodeo, the event must fall under the guidelines of the Association.
- a. All cattle must be pre-conditioned, meaning cattle should be familiar with bucking chutes and leave arena in appropriate manner.
b. All cattle shall be preapproved by Bullriding director and or Board of Directors.
c. Draw will be made prior to Rodeo performance. Judges must inspect cattle prior to draw.
